New Horizons for One and All:

Summer Ash came in for another fun and nerdy tattoo session!  This time, we tattooed her forearm with a fantastic solar system and satellite path map (I’ll let her explain here, since she is the expert) that holds a lot of meaning, both scientifically and personally.

Definitely check out her work.  Not only has she been on several media outlets as an educator, but she keeps us all up-to-date on galactic fashion.  Which is great for me, because I have this busy 15 month old (who may or may not be on my lap right now attempting to add his two cents) that keeps me from lazily window shopping.  Haha.

Thank you, Summer!  Always a pleasure!!

In-Progress Shots:

This past weekend, I got to work on two of my favorite things: Flowers and Space.

Alison’s sleeve of jewels, asters, roses, and violets is coming together beautifully.  Jason’s space sleeve is a huge rework/cover-up project that has been really fun to work on, too.  His existing forearm piece below will, eventually, be a spiral galaxy.

Thank you both so much for letting me tattoo you!

Persian-Inspired Sleeve (Nearly Done):

Here’s this amazing, fun, eclectic sleeve I’ve had the pleasure of creating with Sam.  We have some finishing to do at the wrist still, but it’s pretty incredible as it is.  It’s based on the Shahnameh, which is an absolutely beautiful book.  I suggest you check it out.

Thanks, Sam!

Daisies and Arrows:

Kelly came in for her scheduled appointment.  We planned on just doing this pretty daisies-in-a-triangle piece.  We finished quickly and had time to do one of my arrows on her other arm.  Super happy with both.

Thanks, Kelly!

Egyptian Blackwork:

Tommy’s Egyptian sleeve is really coming together.  We’ll be working on it more in the coming months.  So, so pleased with our last session when we added the scarab/lotus/feather section.

Thanks, Tommy!

New Year, New Schedule:

Howdy, howdy-do!

This new year brings me a new, more regular schedule.  I will be at the shop on Saturdays!  Yup, it’s that easy.  Yahoo!! My calendar is already filled with long sessions into July right now, but I do have a few shorter appointment slots available before then.  If you would like to come in for a consultation regarding a large or small project, please get in touch. (JoyRumoreTattoos@gmail.com) If you would like to pop in just to say “Hi”, that is always welcome.  There are a few Saturdays that I cannot make it to the shop, FYI.  As of now, those days are: February 18th, April 1st, April 22nd, and May 13th.

Here are a few things I’ve been working on. Hope to see you soon.

Stealing Tattoos is Lame: A Reminder….

It’s been a little over a year since this originally came to my attention*, but I just wanted to remind the world that Claudia, (a former friend and client) stole my chest piece, not once, but twice.
Happy Wednesday, Y’all.

A. First stolen piece: removed.
B. Second stolen piece over removed tattoo.

*You can expect this update yearly.

Getting Ready for the End of Summer Before it Begins:

Getting back to work this last month has been great.  While I miss my little dude when I’m at work, I am very happy to be tattooing again – even if it is on a less frequent basis. Catching up with all of my clients has been wonderful, as well.

My next round of consultations will be scheduled in a few weeks for weekend appointments beginning in the late summer/early fall.  If you have not contacted me about getting on my waiting list, please do so!  Also, if you don’t want to wait for me, consider contacting my partners, Dorothy Lyczek and Chris Wednesday.  We are a happy, little tattoo family here at Trinity Tattoo Collective and we all have different styles of tattooing to offer.

Below are a couple old and a couple new things I’ve done.  The backpiece of the quasar is (clearly) in progress.

Thanks for looking!
